Transport
Road - Petworth is served by the A272 running from Heathfield in the east to Winchester in the west. The A283 runs from Shoreham on the coast to near Godalming at its northern end.
Brief History
This village also felt the wrath of the German bombings during World War II in 1942 when 28 school boys lost their lives as well as two school teachers.
