Rail – There are 3 stations in the town, Bexhill, Collington Halt and Cooden; all are on the Coastal Line which runs from Hastings to Brighton.
Brief History

The original settlement was built when a charter was granted by King Offa of Mercia in 772AD. Following the Norman Conquest in 1066 the growing town was given to Robert, Count of Eu, by William I. Smuggling was a way of life at the beginning of the nineteenth century. The notorious Little Common Gang were involved in what was colloquially called “The Battle of Sidley Green, an area to the north of the town. The first automobile race in the UK was held in 1902.
